The Matryoshka Rock (マトリョーシカ岩, Matoryōshika iwa) is a landmark in Skull Plains, and is one of the 20 Wonder Spot locations. It refers to several small islands of varying sizes, each with a tree, arranged in descending order.
The Matryoshka Rock sits near a large rock that can only be broken by a Ripped Miner. An Arsonist Onii atop a ledge and two rock-throwing Onii behind a bone fence will attack any citizens attacking this rock. The dark area around the rock will catch fire from the Arsonist Onii's attacks. These UMA can only be attacked by Animal Hunters. Due to this fact, a collection of pots nearby contain several arrow refills, and an Art piece.
Beyond this rock is a long peninsula filled with Arsonist Onii that leads to the main part of Skull Plains.

Etymology[]
The name of Matryoshka Rock refers to Matryoshka dolls, popular Russian dolls made of wood that open up to reveal smaller and smaller dolls inside, much like the varying sizes of islands found at this location.

The French version appears to have misspelt the French word matriochka as "matrochika".
Trivia[]
- The Wonder Spot Book misspells this area as the "Matroyshka Rock", but the actual sign spells it correctly. This mistake is oddly retained in New Little King's Story despite that game changing or retranslating the names of at least some Wonder Spots.
